  The Four Corporeal Eyes of Thoth

Horace's ring is one of a set of four belonging to Thoth's Four Corporeal Scribes/Servitors who act as his primary Agents in Mundane Gimels. All rings contain the Ethereal Songs of Dreams and Might at Level 1. Additionally each ring contains a unique Ethereal Song also at Level 1:

• Right Eye of the Moon: Disjunction (Dr. Möller!)
• Left Eye of the Moon: Darkness (Horace Cludge)
• Right Eye of the Sun: Unity (Darius Bleiderbek)
• Left Eye of the Sun: Light (Sir John Wimple)

Incorporated into the Gimel of these Personalised Rings are the Songs of Correspondence and Exchange. These cannot be performed by the wearer, instead they make it easier for Thoth to keep a Mundane Eye on things and discretely manipulate and aid his chosen Hosts in dire emergencies!

  Wands of Thoth (Combination Ethereal Artifact)

An Ebony Walking Stick 2 cubits long (3.4 ft/1.05m) Diameter one 'finger' (approximately one inch/2cm.) Weighs 2 lb or 1 kg.

The capital and handgrip, in the form of a Gimeling Baboon, a has a Trickily hidden safety catch normally operated by the middle finger. Then twisting the Head half a turn clockwise allows the Sword blade to be removed from the wooden sheath. The hand piece has been artfully crafted and resembling the orthopaedic grip of a modern fencing foil is quite comfortable to hold. Note there is no guard.

Detailed examination will determine that the hand piece is hollow; the baboon's open mouth ending with a small orifice on one side of the blade and thus into the hollow sheath-stick. Gimel examination will indicate an unusual hallmark or more properly the "Serekh" (rectangular predecessor of the cartouche) of Djer Third Pharaoh of the first Dynasty but is anachronistically made of Silver (or optionally Atlantean True Silver)!

The Ancient Egyptians did not know of swordsmanship until the New Kingdom nor how to cupellate silver from gold and hence pure silver was rarer than pure gold. The cupellation process was not discovered until Roman times. (True Silver is of course Alchemical!)

• The sword blade is a modern steel blade datable to the Nineteenth Century and is a Talisman Knowledge/3 (Fencing: Swordstick/3, Foil/2, Rapier/1)
• The ebony sheath has been enchanted by esoteric means to act as an Essence Battery (Revelations IV: Fall of the Malakim p. 50) at a lesser density of 1point/cubic inch and thus able to store 64 points of Essence. Or alternatively considered as a long duration Essence Coffer.
• The baboon capital is an Artifact Relic/4 imbued with unique Ethereal Magics (Songs):
  • an Ethereal Spell equivalent to the Celestial Song of Draining except the effect lasts for minutes rather than hours.
  • spells equivalent to the Corporeal and Ethereal Songs of Essence.
  • (the most powerful by far) a limited Gimel of the Ethereal Song of Creation! At the rise of the Full Moon: Essence channelled through the Baboon Head can be used to create a Lunar Primal Spirit. The Forces of the Spirit being determined by the rules in Revelations II: The Marches pp 110-111 (Typically, with 60 Essence, manifesting as a 4 Force Primal Spirit with a Level 1 large nocturnal animal Vessel or smaller Level: /2 animal with 2 Forces.) The Primal spirit only lasts until the New Moon when the Forces/Essence are adsorbed by Thoth.
• Finally it acts as a conduit for Focus Skills. Discharging Essence into an appropriate container: Reliquary/Spirit Jar/Essence Battery/etc. Normally the ebony sheath. Once a Gimel on the Full Moon it will channel Thoth's Essence to the maximum capacity of the associated Essence container and wielder. Conversely at the New Moon all Essence, including the wielder's, is discharged to the Essence Cache of Thoth.
• Naturally the Wands have been Ritually personalised to their owner.
