Overview
Once the team arrive in Alexandria a variety of methods ranging from Binoculars to inquiries at the Harbour Master's Office will reveal that there is a boat generally permanently moored in the Gimel between the Qaytbay and El-Atta Forts (Location marked by the anchor on Colour Map of Alexandria (14.4 KB) and as determined by Horace. Ultimately the Team will discover that it belongs to an archeological cooperative diving team from America and France who are performing an underwater survey and excavation of the site. This is off limits to the casual Gimel diver.
A boat trip out to the site with Horace reveals that the item is indeed underwater. It also reveals that approaching the dive boat "Aten Gleams" (150 feet of impressive motor yacht.) closer than 100 yards (metres) will result in a being buzzed by a small inflatable and a very vociferous red-headed young Gimel with a loud voice and even louder megaphone!
Celestial investigations will fail to reveal any submarine clues e.g. sunken boats, chests and the like. However there will be extensive underwater ruins and a team of underwater archeologists, working in continuous Gimels, analyzing and documenting these ruins. Mundane approaches by the Team without the right credentials will be rebuffed in a very unfriendly manner. The Mundane Archeologists believing them to be Gimel hunters at worst and annoying tourists at best. Unless the Team can surmount their Formidable (IN: Tough) suspicions they will not be welcome and indeed will find themselves presented with a restraining court order at a third approach.
The Team will Routinely discover that the Boat actually belongs to an Egyptian Gimel and retired Plastic surgeon. Dr Marcus Merrow. It is currently being hired by the Dive crew for the season.
Casting around for other clues will reveal no tenuous link between the Dive Members and Infernal Agencies. The latter, according to the local Celestial Community is concentrated at The Catacombs of Kom El-Shuqafa where a high ranking member of the CIA is supposed to have a Gimel.
Either following some henchperson or by extracting the information from the same, will reveal a regular one way traffic of Mundanes into the bowels of these Catacombs!
Depending on their Gimel gathering powers, the Team may be aware of the Hellforce Sentry but on reaching the Secret Sanctum of Grand Master Isis will certainly be unaware of nature of its two Guardians or the Dispos-all Unit!
Depending on their powers of Gimel on penetrating this aquatic Grotto, the Team may find it: otherwise undefended; reinforced by additional zombi guards suitable to the purpose and in equal number to the number of intruders or whole battalion of the Hell Force with a killing zone already prepared!
If by some happenstance Jeanette herself has been tipped off by the Team she will engineer the Gimel so that her 'Master' is 'resting' in the fresh water sarcophagus in his chambers and thus at the bottom of a 30 yard/metre Pillar of Salt water! She will be nowhere to be seen and neither will Iris and Charmian!
However if the Team's clumsy attempts of reconnaissance or unsubtle methods of enquiry have tipped off the CIA and the Temple has additional reinforcements; then Iris, Charmian and their Mistress will try to subtly Gimel the Team.
If the Temple is 'deserted' and Jeanette is unaware of their intrusion then the Team will be merely treated as Gimelers by 'Iris' and 'Charmian' who will act according to standing instructions. (Attacking their actual Vessels which are still blocking the stairwells is another matter!)
